CATAHOULA Band Members Pamela Clay, Bruce Bermudez + Lindsay Gillis were presented with a Certificate of Congressional Recognition by Congresswoman Nanette Diaz Barragan with this inscription: “The Catahoula Band is honored for partnering with the Geffen Playhouse Veterans Writing and Performance Workshop. Known for their blend of New Orleans blues, folk, and 1960’s rock, Catahoula brings inspiring energy to this USS Iowa event, amplifying veterans’ voices. On behalf of California’s 44th Congressional District, thank you for your impactful service to our community and country” on November 9, 2024, for performing on the Battleship Iowa for the special Veterans Day event with the Geffen Playhouse.
